Fiber Color Code SPLICE PLANNER

Account

Delete your account

Applies to the Fiber Color Code app by Fiber Education · Updated 28 August 2026

You can delete your Fiber Color Code account and its data at any time, either from inside the app or by emailing us. This page explains how, what gets erased, and what is kept and for how long.

Option 1 — Delete it in the app

  1. Open Fiber Color Code and sign in.
  2. Open the navigation drawer and tap your profile.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm. For your security you will be asked to sign in again — enter your password, or re-authenticate with Google if that is how you sign in.

Your account is then scheduled for deletion and you are signed out. The local copy of your data on that device is erased immediately.

If you own a team with other members, the app will stop you and explain why. Transfer ownership to someone else, or delete the team, and then delete your account. This prevents a team being left with an owner who no longer exists.

Option 2 — Ask us to delete it

If you cannot sign in, email privacy@fibercolorcode.app from the address on the account, with the subject "Delete my account".

We will verify the request and confirm when it is done, normally within 30 days. We may need to ask a question to confirm you own the account before we act.

What is deleted

Erased permanently after the recovery window

What is kept, and why

Work belonging to your employer

If you were a member of an organization or team owned by someone else, the work records created there — splice plans, photos, signed as-builts, work orders, and time entries — belong to that organization and are not deleted when you delete your account. They are that business's records.

Activity log entries and signed documents may continue to show the email address that performed an action, because an as-built loses its value as a record if you cannot tell who signed it. If you need those records changed, contact the organization's administrator.

Backups

Organizations receive a nightly backup and the most recent 14 are retained. Deleted content can therefore remain in a backup for up to 14 days after it leaves the live database.

Records we must keep

We may retain limited billing and transaction records where tax or accounting law requires it, and anything we are legally required to preserve.

Timing and recovery

Export your data first

Deletion is permanent, so take a copy before you start. In the app, go to Profile → Export My Data for a JSON file containing your profile and every workspace's plans and templates. Individual splice plans can also be exported as PDF or CSV, and work orders as an as-built PDF.
